Updated on

Summary CNG dealers have demanded the government lift ban on import of gas cylinders immediately.

Addressing a news conference in Karachi, Chairman All Pakistan Petrol and CNG dealers Association Abdul Sami Khan said that new investment in CNG sector may be affected due to imposition of ban on import of CNG cylinders. He maintained that new cylinder did not cause any mishap in big cities including Karachi, rather use of sub-standard cylinders was the reason behind accidents. He said that to check the cylinders in the vehicle after five years time, the government should make HDIP vigilant. He blamed that some government officials want to promote LPG and LNG and can’t bear flourishing of CNG sector. He warned that they would call general body meeting for final decision if their demands were not met.
