Summary The prices of vegetables and fruit are flying through the roof ahead of Eid.
The grocers are making most of the Eid occasion knowing that vegetables are to be integral part of meat dishes. The vegetables whose prices have increased most include onions, tomatoes, coriander, green chillies, ginger and garlic. In addition, prices of spices have also been raised.The prices have been increased manifold in various cities in the absence of any check from the authorities concerned.
