Summary Govt set to charge additional Rs24.50b on electricity bills
KARACHI (Dunya News) – There is a bad news for the people of Karachi as the government has decided to impose an additional burden of Rs24.50 billion on the electricity consumers of the city.
The government has decided to impose a surcharge of Rs1.52 on the electricity bills for the consumers of Karachi, which means an additional burden of Rs24.50 billion on the consumers.
This surcharge of Rs1.52 in bills will be applicable for one year while the surcharge on electricity bills is being adjusted quarterly.
The federal government has submitted an application to Nepra, which will be heard by the authorities on Aug 15.
