Summary Leather business up this Eid

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The leather business has increased in Lahore this Eidul Azha, as hides of sacrificial animals are being brought to the leather market for sale in an abundance.

The rate of bull skin is set at Rs2500, buffalo at Rs1500, while camel skin is sold at Rs500, goat at Rs450 and the rate of sheep skin is fixed at Rs100.

Leather Market Vice President Haji Nasir said the number of sacrifices has increased this year as more skins of small animals were brought to the market.

He said the hides must be processed as soon as possible. On the other hand, traders said the hot weather and the delay in the process of preserving the hides had a serious effect on the quality.
