Summary Cut in Special Excise Duty and GST has pushed vehicles sale up to by 35pc in two months.
According to a report, about 29,500 vehicles have been sold during the first two months of the FY which is more than 7,500 as compared with last year. The government has reduced SED and GST by 2.5 percent and 1 percent in budget.However, only 1,900 tractors have been sold in two months, which is 78 percent lower as compared to the last year.According to experts, reduction in tractors sale was due to cut in farmers’ income and closure of plants.
