The cotton production reduced in Punjab and Sindh due to the current spell of torrential rains, therefore price surged to Rs 7,500 a manud. Due to the dearth of cotton in the local market, its price has also surged in international market.Meanwhile, some 2 million of cotton bales are expected to be damaged by rain.
