Summary The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan registered 3,400 companies during FY 2010-2011.
The SECP registered 12 percent more companies as compared with last year. The total corporate portfolio has reached 59,451 companies.This increasing trend in the registration of companies is due to the online registration facilitation and about 50 percent of new registration is now through online services.During the year, authorised capital of registered firms was Rs 44.38 billion, while Rs 19.80 billion was paid.
