Summary Power sector deficit has reached Rs 1.34 trillion with an increase of Rs 12 billions 2011.
According to PSO authorities, PIA, Pakistan Railways and other government and private departments owed Rs 1.22 trillion in July 2010.PSO has to pay Rs 141 trillion to international refineries. Hubco, Wapda, Kepco KESC, PIA, PR and ODCL are defaulters of Rs 55 billion, Rs 23 billion, Rs 29 billion, Rs 7 billion Rs 2 billion, Rs 83 billion and Rs 340 million respectively.During the period, government and private departments have paid Rs 1.47 trillion to PSO.
