ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has decided to send notices to 5 million nonfilers and benami account holders and a strict action would be taken against tax defaulters.
Member FBR Dr Atique Sarwar said action would be taken first in Lahore, Islamabad, Multan and Faisalabad. He said tax defaulters of Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sialkot and Hyderabad are also under the radar.
He said FBR would push these defaulters behind the bars. He said an example would be set in this regard.
He said from June 21 people can see their assets on the portals of NADRA and FBR.
