Summary The inflation rate increased by 12.91 % in last week as compared to the same period last year.

MULTAN (Web Desk) – Comparative overview of 53 daily life utensils by Pakistan Bureau of Statistics showed that the prices of 20 items were increased, 10 showed a downward trend in prices while 23 things retained their prices.

Inflation rate increased by 12.91 % in last week as compared to same period last year, report.

The report says, during last week the prices of daily life usage things including tomato, onion , potato, farm eggs, bananas, pulses, sugar, Chicken , mutton, yogurt, rice and cigarette increased.

It further said the prices of farm chicken, LPG cylinder, wheat, floor bag, red chili grinned and cooking oil reduced while basmati rice, salt milk powder, lawn printed cloth, shoes, bulb, soap and energy bills sustained their prices.

It is pertinent to mention here that the incumbent government led by PM Imran Khan is under criticism for poor handling of economic policies resulting in record high inflation.
