Govt expected to increase LNG imports to produce more electricity

Summary LNG imports price has reached $1.19 billion.

LAHORE (Dunay News) – Following the increased production of electricity by using Liquefied natural gas (LNG), the government is expected to increase LNG imports.

According to Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, with an increase of 123.30 percent, LNG imports price has reached $1.19 billion. 

The exports of petroleum products during first four months of current financial year 2018-19, has increased by 94.14 percent against the exports during same period of previous year.

According to Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, the export of petroleum and coal rise to 187.55 million dollars in July-October 2018-19 against the exports worth of 96.61 million dollars during same period of previous year.

Earlier there was news that Petroleum Oil Lubricants (POL) prices in Pakistan are expected to drop to record low this year after a decline in international market.
