Summary Industrialists decided to go on strike for indefinite period against the imposition of new taxes.
On the other hands, protest by the factory owners against increase in the sales tax entered in fifth day on Thursday. The textile sizing factories also remained closed against the increase in sales tax and imposition of flood tax. The traders said that two lakh power looms would remain close from tomorrow for indefinite time period.
