Foreign direct investment in fiscal year reaches $2.47 billion

Summary Foreign selling in Pakistan Stock Exchange has slowed down in 11 months of FY18.

LAHORE (Web Desk) - Foreign direct investment from July 2017 to May 2018 has showed a paltry drop of 1.3%.

According to details, the foreign direct investment during July 2017 to May 2018 has reached to $2.47 billion.

Meanwhile, the net foreign investment during July 2017 to May 2018 rose by 52 percent and accomplished nearly $4.7 billion during the period.

The net foreign investment rose because of the selling of foreign bonds. During 11 months of fiscal year 2018, Pakistan has sold bond worth $2.5 billion.

Foreign selling in Pakistan Stock Exchange has slowed down in 11 months of FY18. Foreign outflow amounted to $162 million vs $392 million in same period last year.
