Summary Pakistan's trade deficit narrowed to $895 million in February, from $986 million a year earlier.

According to the Federal Bureau of Statistics, the trade deficit was $1.11 billion in January. Exports totalled $2.15 billion in February, against $1.51 billion a year ago, according to the bureau. Imports totalled $3.05 billion, up from $2.50 billion in February last year.The countrys trade deficit for the first eight months of the 2010/11 fiscal year (July-June) was $10.26 billion, compared to a $9.51 billion deficit in the same period a year earlier.
