(Dunya News) – Passing through beautiful natural landscapes across the River Indus, motorboats as part of a tourism ferry service were run on trial basis near Kalabagh.

The service will formally be launched on March 23.

The trial of the ferry service was carried out by the Inland Water Transport Company in collaboration with the Government of Punjab.

The service, which is being set up for tourists, is initially expected to be offered between Kalabagh and Attock, and later will be expanded to other areas. Under the initiative, resorts for tourists would also be set up on the same route.

Special arrangements would also be made for security of tourists.

The ferry service will not only promote tourism in the region but is also expected to provide employment opportunities for the locals.
