(Dunya News) – Shopaholics made their way to one the most anticipated festivals held each year in Karachi. Women Festival, which consists of colourful stalls, food and a friendly environment, aims to empower emerging female entrepreneurs.

This year the bazaar consisted of over a hundred stalls with countless varieties of clothes, jewellery and other household items, where the sellers and the buyers were all women.

Speaking to Dunya News, women at the festival shared their experiences and admired the initiative.

Organisers said that the event was held every year with the aim of helping those women who were working from their homes and wanted to expand their businesses. “This work is all charity based,” said one of the organisers.

The festival not only promoted female entrepreneurs but also aimed to extend the proceedings from the bazaar to those in need of support.
