Summary The Punjab government has planned to promulgate Seed Act to stop the sale of fake and substandard seeds.
Addressing to 5th Asian Cotton Research and Development conference, Senior Provincial Advisor Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa said that the provincial government was taking steps to improve the per acre yield of cotton. He said that a new act would be formulated to end the sale of low quality seeds. He maintained that the funds for cotton research department would be enhanced. He also said that high quality seeds vital to enhance crops yield.
