ISLAMABAD (Dunya News)- In order to slash soaring import bill, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has imposed 20pc regulatory duty on import of over two dozen electronic devices, reported Roznama Dunya on Thursday.
According to FBR (Customs) notification, the new regulatory duties have been imposed in exercise of the powers conferred under the subsection (2) of section 19 of the Customs Act 1969.
Among the electronic products, the regulatory duty has been fixed 20 percent each on ceiling fan, pedestal fan, table fan and exhaust fan, split units, refrigerators and freezers, microwave ovens, electric oven, coffee or tea makers, toasters.
Likewise, the regulatory duty on guavas, mangoes, mangoes teens, frozen mangoes and mango pulp has been fixed at 15% while on figs, pineapples, oranges, kino (fresh), lemon, melon, apricots and peaches, plums, strawberries, raspberries and kiwifruit has been fixed at 20%.
