Summary Total consumption of DAP soared to 631000 tons during November
LAHORE (Dunya News) – National Fertilizer Development Centre (NFDC) has confirmed that the consumption of urea during the month of November increased by 112 percent as the new figure were observed to be 76400 tons.
Sources at NFDC also revealed that farmers purchased 32 percent more DAP during the month as its total consumption soared to 631000 tons in November.
Experts are of the opinion that urea manufacturing companies have decreased the prices in order to end the existing stocks and the average price of urea in the local market is Rs 1200-1280 per bag.
The farmers are also buying urea in bulk amounts for the current crop season as a result of this decreasing trend in prices.
