Summary Decline in sale was documented after adjusting decision of Punjab govt to end taxi scheme.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Auto sales in local market declined by 5 percent to 71,877 units in July-November 2016-17.
During the same period of previous fiscal year, a total of 75,805 vehicles were sold. However, in month of November 2016, sales of vehicles went up by 11 percent to 16,018 units.
Meanwhile, in five months of ongoing fiscal year, tractors sale witnessed massive surge of 53% to 17,541 units. 11,418 tractors were sold during same period of previous fiscal year.
According to analysts, decline in auto sale was documented after adjusting decision of Punjab government to end taxi scheme.
On the contrary, upward momentum in tractor sale is basically due to various lucrative packages that are being offered by federal government for farmers.
