KARACHI (Dunya News) – Tomato price has gone through the roof in Sindh’s capital from previous Rs 60 per kilogram to Rs 180 per kilogram, reported Monday.
The surge has come in within three days ahead of Eidul Fitr.
Local merchants have said that recent rains in Balochistan have affected supply of tomatoes which resulted in the price hike.
In wholesale markets, tomato price is stagnated at Rs 120 per kilogram.
Onion and potato prices are maintaining at Rs 30 per kilogram while lemon is hiked by Rs 20 taking per kilogram price to Rs 200.
