HONG KONG (AFP) - Hong Kong stocks retreated Wednesday after a three-day rally as investors jostle for position ahead of this week s knife-edge referendum on Britain s future in the European Union.
The Hang Seng Index slipped 0.53 percent, or 109.54 points, to 20,558.9.
In Shanghai the benchmark composite index eased 0.20 percent, or 5.83 points, to 2,872.73, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China s second exchange, gave up 0.28 percent, or 5.25 points, to 1,884.46.
