KARACHI (Dunya News) – The government, in an attempt to begin work in regards to the Thar coal project, gave a financial guarantee to Engro Powergen on Monday, reported Dunya News.
Sources have indicated that the National Transmission Company will lay a 500kV wire between Thar and Mathiari. The project also includes the establishment of two 330 Megawatt (MW) coal plants, which will be completed till 2019 after an investment of $2 billion.
According to the experts, the country’s energy crisis will be dealt in an effective manner after the completion of this project.
