Summary Production houses would have to hike price per unit owing to revised price of the oil
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Power tariff is likely to increase as furnace oil price has increased by Rs 3,000 per tonne, Dunya News reported Wednesday.
Sources privy to the power sector said that price of imported furnace oil has hit Rs 24,274 per tonne with a Rs 3,000 hike. Resultantly, oil produced by local refineries now stands at Rs 26,000 per tonne after an Rs 1,600 increase.
Experts have said that production houses would have to hike price per unit owing to revised furnace oil price.
