State Bank of Pakistan has issued new 500 notes with protective characteristics.According to State Bank, optical variable ink is used in the making of the said notes, adding that this method has been used as precautionary measures and to uplift the standard.A crescent and star have been made on the right side of the 500 note and viewed from different aspects, magenta and green colours become conspicuous on the note owing to the optical variable ink, besides the signatures of SB Governor Saleem Raza could also be seen on the note. However, the SBP has said that the current 500 notes would also remain in use. Earlier, the State Bank released 500 note on November 2006.
