Khurshid Shah Federal Minister for Manpower has said that the transit trade memorandum with Afghanistan has been agreed, however according to this memorandum Indian truck attempting to enter Pakistan through the Wagah border would be treated as a threat to national interest.During the question-answer session of the National assembly he said that the memorandum would have no effect on the tax of goods, but 80% of the goods sent to Afghanistan gets smuggled back into Pakistan. 40% decrease has been witnessed in the export of leather products due to incompetency of the exporters. Local car manufacturing industry would be destroyed if the import ban on recondition cars was lifted.Parliamentary secretary for Interior informed that during three years the number of Pakistanis sent back by UAE 35000, UK 6237 and USA 533.
