Pakistan Steel Mills has increased the prices of its different products in the range of Rs1300 to Rs1,800 and this increase is immediately applicable. According to sources 1.2mm and 1.5mm sheet prices have increased to Rs 21,500 per ton. Hot roll per ton cost increased to Rs 17,000, while the price of cold roll has reached to Rs 35000 per ton. According to the Steel Industry the reason of the increase is due to global increase in the price of steel products.
