Summary
Circular debt problem has been surfaced once again. Power sector has to pay Rs 79 billion to Pakistan State Oil. According to the figures provided by the PSO to Dunya News, Wapda arrears are Rs 31 billion, Hub Power Companys Rs 29 billion and KEPCO is under debt of Rs 16 billion. PSOs overall receipts are Rs 86 billion while PSO has to pay loans of Rs 59 billion to oil refineries. Electricity production is also lowered due to circular debt.
