Bullish trend was witnessed in Karachi stock market on the first business day new year as the benchmark 100 index surged by 51 points on Monday.The business activities in the shares market started in positive zone. Cautious behavior of investors caused some ups and down in the market. However, limited buying resulted in the market to close at 9438, up 51 points with trade volume of 94.5 million shares. DG Khan Cement remained volume leader with 11.3 million shares and share price of Rs 33.90, up Rs 1.34.
