KSE plummeted by 159 points

Bearish trend was witnessed at Karachi Stock Exchange on Tuesday as the benchmark 100-index closed below 9,000 points level with a decrease of 159 points. Business activity started with a positive note while cautious behavior of investors pushed the index into negative zone. Market remained under pressure due to deteriorating law and order situation in the country.At the end of the day, the benchmark 100-index closed at 8,844 points with a decrease of 159 points with trade volume of 99.0 million shares. Pak PTA remained the volume leader.
