Cotton price has hit record high at Rs 4400 per 40kg in the country, reported Dunya News. A record addition of Rs 100 was recorded in cotton price in Pakistan after which the cotton prices reached at Rs 4400 per 40kg. The price of 40kg phatti has also reached at 2,200 rupees with an addition of Rs 50. Market sources say that prices surged following increase in demand of cotton as export of thread to Korea and China has increased.
