Summary SBP has stated that banknote of Rs 5 will be valid only till December 31.
State Bank of Pakistan has asked the general public to get their note of rupee five exchanged as soon as possible as these will not be usable after the December 31, 2012.
A statement issued by State Bank of Pakistan on Monday informed the public that they can carry out the exchange through its Banking Services Corporation offices or over 1,000 branches spread across the country.
It pointed out that the aforementioned banknote had already been demonetized by the federal government and, hence, cannot be used as a legal tender.
