Summary The wife told a family counsellor that she had no complaints about her husband, but said her husband's loud snoring kept her awake every night
(Web Desk) - An Indian couple who sought a divorce because of the husband's alleged snoring have decided to stay together after undergoing family counselling.
The wife told a family counsellor that she had no complaints about her husband, in-laws or married life, but said her husband's loud snoring kept her awake every night, leading to frequent arguments between the couple.
Family counsellor Rita Tuli said the husband denied that he snored, while the wife maintained that persistent sleep deprivation had pushed her to seek a divorce.
Before court proceedings began, the counsellor advised the couple to live separately for three months to reconsider their decision.
When they returned for counselling after the separation, the couple said the time apart had made them realise the importance of their relationship. They also acknowledged that there had been no physical violence or mental abuse in their marriage.
Following the counselling sessions, the couple withdrew their divorce plans and decided to continue their married life together, according to Indian media reports.
