Pakistan have risen to fourth place in the ICC Men’s ODI team rankings, overtaking Australia following back-to-back victories against Sri Lanka and England in the ongoing tri-series at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

The Green Shirts now have 103 rating points, just one behind third-placed South Africa, who have 104 points. India lead the rankings with 115 points, followed by New Zealand in second place with 109.

Pakistan’s latest rise comes after they defeated England by 87 runs on Tuesday, extending their winning streak in the tournament.

All-rounder Arafat Minhas delivered an outstanding performance with both bat and ball, scoring 59 off 58 balls before claiming career-best figures of 6-40 to dismantle England’s batting line-up.

Hasan Nawaz led Pakistan’s scoring with 79 off 74 deliveries, while Faheem Ashraf struck a brisk 39 off 26 balls. Saad Baig also contributed 35 runs as Pakistan recovered from 81-4 to post 302-9 in their allotted overs.

Chasing a target of 303, England were dismissed for 215 despite Tom Banton scoring 57 and Ben Duckett adding 45.

Minhas proved instrumental in England’s downfall, taking key wickets, including those of Will Jacks and Adil Rashid on consecutive deliveries. He later ran out Gus Atkinson, capping an impressive all-round performance and securing a convincing victory for Pakistan.
