LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Sunday announced the national women's squads for the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka, naming separate 15-member squads for the One-Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International (T20I) series.
Fatima Sana will continue to lead Pakistan in the three-match ODI series, while Muneeba Ali will captain the side in the T20I series in Fatima's absence, as the all-rounder is set to leave for England after the ODI leg to participate in The Hundred.
The PCB has made eight changes to the T20I squad that featured in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup. Iman Naseer, Hamna Bilal, Maham Anees, Momina Riazat, Najiha Alvi, Shawal Zulfiqar, Um Hani and Waheeda Akhtar have all been included.
Iman Naseer, Maham Anees and Momina Riazat are in line to make their T20I debuts, while Maham Anees and Saira Jabeen are yet to earn their maiden ODI caps.
The three-match ODI series, scheduled for July 23, 25 and 28, will count towards the ICC Women's Championship, while the T20I series will follow, with the entire tour running from July 23 to August 4.
The ODI squad comprises Fatima Sana (captain), Ayesha Zafar, Gull Feroza, Maham Anees, Momina Riazat, Muneeba Ali, Najiha Alvi, Nashra Sandhu, Sadaf Shamas, Saira Jabeen, Sidra Amin, Syeda Aroob Shah, Tasmia Rubab, Um Hani and Waheeda Akhtar.
The T20I squad includes Muneeba Ali (captain), Ayesha Zafar, Iman Naseer, Iman Fatima, Hamna Bilal, Maham Anees, Momina Riazat, Najiha Alvi, Nashra Sandhu, Saira Jabeen, Shawal Zulfiqar, Tasmia Rubab, Tuba Hassan, Um Hani and Waheeda Akhtar.
