ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Pakistan’s National Assembly member Syeda Amina Batool has been appointed to FIFA’s prestigious Institutional Reforms Committee, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting announced.

The appointment marks a significant diplomatic and sporting milestone for Pakistan, making Batool the country’s sole representative across FIFA committees.

The move reflects FIFA’s renewed confidence in Pakistan’s institutional direction and acknowledges its constructive role in global football governance. It follows the government’s push, under Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, to promote football as an independent, transparent, and merit-based sport.

The government views football as a strategic tool for youth development and social cohesion, with future cooperation with FIFA focusing on governance reforms, gender-sensitive talent development, and sustainable growth.
