Pakistan’s Noor Zaman beat Hamza Khan 3–2 in a dramatic final at the Chief of the Air Staff International Squash Championship, securing the USD 37,000 title in Islamabad.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan’s Noor Zaman claimed the Chief of the Air Staff International Squash Championship after a thrilling and hard-fought contest in Islamabad.

In the final held at the Mushaf Squash Complex, the second seed and reigning Under-23 World Champion defeated tenth seed Hamza Khan 3–2 to secure the USD 37,000 title.

Hamza Khan won the first game 9–11 and took the second 7–11, but world number 42 Noor Zaman staged a remarkable comeback, sweeping the next three games to seal the championship.

Noor Zaman—grandson of former world champion Qamar Zaman—won the third game 7–11, the fourth 4–11, and the decisive fifth 8–11 to lift the trophy.

Hamza had earlier stunned top seed Egyptian Karim El Hammamy in the quarterfinal and upset sixth seed Sweden’s David Bernet in the semifinal.
