ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) — Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei has said Pakistan’s Field Marshal Asim Munir will visit Tehran on Monday (today), where he is scheduled to hold important meetings.
Baghaei said the purpose of Field Marshal Asim Munir’s visit is to further strengthen bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Iran.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson said the visit is a continuation of Pakistan’s efforts to promote peace and security in the region. During the visit, matters of mutual interest and ways to enhance bilateral cooperation will be discussed.

Meanwhile, addressing a ceremony, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Iran was still in a state of war and was facing a complete economic, military and security war.
He said Iran remained steadfast in the face of tough US sanctions and was trying to confront what he described as an unequal war.
Pezeshkian further said the United States had tried to turn Iran into Venezuela but had failed. He said the enemy wanted Iran to be destroyed, but that had not happened.
The Iranian president said Iran had emerged as a power capable of surprising the world through strong unity. He expressed hope that the difficulties facing the people would be overcome soon.
