Summary Ishaq Dar reviewed preparations for Pakistan’s hosting of the SCO Heads of State summit next year and directed relevant institutions to ensure timely completion of all arrangements.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar on Wednesday expressed satisfaction over preparations for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation’s (SCO) Council of Heads of State summit, which Pakistan is scheduled to host next year, directing all relevant stakeholders to complete arrangements on time.
Chairing a meeting on arrangements for the SCO Summit, Ishaq Dar said Pakistan was fully committed to successfully hosting the SCO meetings and ensuring arrangements of the highest standard.
He stressed the need for close coordination among all relevant institutions to ensure the smooth, well-organised and successful hosting of the SCO proceedings.
During the meeting, the Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) briefed participants on progress made on various development and infrastructure projects related to the preparations.
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa, Foreign Secretary Ambassador Amna Baloch, Interior Secretary Ahmad Raza Sarwar, CDA Chairman, National Coordinator SCO and other senior officials from relevant ministries attended the meeting.
