ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - A high-level meeting has been convened in the federal capital to review security arrangements following the Supreme Court’s order to shift former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan to a private hospital in Islamabad.
Sources said senior officials from relevant institutions are attending the meeting, where security measures for implementing the court’s order are being discussed.
Officials said the arrangements will be put into effect once the written directives from the Supreme Court are received.
According to sources, the district administration will also issue a notification declaring the hospital a sub-jail to facilitate the former premier’s transfer and security arrangements.
The Supreme Court, hearing a case concerning meetings between Imran Khan, his sisters and his personal doctors, ordered that he be shifted to Al-Shifa Hospital in Islamabad until the next hearing.
The court also directed authorities to facilitate meetings between Imran Khan and his sister Uzma Khan, as well as his personal physician, Dr Faisal Sultan.
