ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) — Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former prime minister Imran Khan has been provided with eight books in Adiala Jail following directions from the Islamabad High Court (IHC), according to a compliance report submitted to the court.
Adiala Jail Deputy Superintendent Subtain Raza submitted a report to the IHC regarding the delivery of the books to Imran Khan.
According to the report, the jail authorities received eight books from the Islamabad High Court on August 6 for onward delivery to the PTI founder.
The books were subsequently handed over to Imran Khan in jail. However, he returned four of them, telling the authorities that he had already read those books and had copies with him.
According to the compliance report, Imran Khan selected four books to keep for reading.
The jail administration confirmed that all eight books received from the IHC were delivered to Imran Khan, while the four selected books remained with him.
The compliance report was submitted to the IHC to inform the court that its directions regarding the provision of reading material to the PTI founder had been implemented.
