LAHORE (Dunya News) — The threat of a shutdown of Lahore’s Metro Bus service has been averted after operator VEDA and the Punjab Mass Transit Authority agreed to keep the service operational.

According to Punjab Mass Transit Authority General Manager Operations Uzair Shah, VEDA’s demands are being considered seriously, while negotiations are underway to settle the matters.

Uzair Shah said the Metro Bus service will remain operational and talks are continuing on VEDA’s financial and other demands.

He added that VEDA and the Mass Transit Authority will hold another round of negotiations today, with progress expected toward resolving the company’s demands.
