Summary Sea breeze and cloud cover have reduced heat in Karachi, with drizzle and strong winds forecast over the next three days, the Meteorological Department said.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Sea breeze and cloud cover have brought relief from intense heat in Karachi, with the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasting light drizzle and partly cloudy conditions over the next three days.
According to the PMD's Early Warning Centre, the city is expected to remain partly cloudy and humid, with a chance of drizzle during the night. Strong winds may also blow intermittently during the forecast period.
The department said daytime temperatures are likely to remain between 34°C and 36°C over the coming days.
The weather system is being influenced by moisture-laden winds from the Arabian Sea moving into the upper and central parts of the country, while a western weather system is also affecting northern regions.
Meanwhile, hot and humid weather is expected to persist across most parts of Sindh.
The PMD further forecast isolated dust storms, gusty winds and light rain accompanied by thunder in the districts of Jacobabad, Qambar Shahdadkot, Larkana, Sukkur, Dadu and Jamshoro later on Thursday.
