ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman congratulated Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on the successful completion of the peace agreement and praised Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir’s tireless efforts as a key factor behind its success.
A telephone conversation was held between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, during which the premier congratulated the Saudi leader on the historic Islamabad Peace Agreement and thanked Saudi Arabia for its consistent support for Pakistan’s peace initiatives.
Shehbaz Sharif said the peace agreement between Iran and the United States was made possible with the strong backing of Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries.
In response, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman congratulated Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on the successful conclusion of the landmark agreement and highlighted Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir’s efforts as an important contribution to achieving the breakthrough.
The two leaders expressed their determination to ensure the success of upcoming Iran-US negotiations and stressed the need to remain vigilant against any attempts to sabotage the dialogue process.
The prime minister also expressed satisfaction over the strong bilateral relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, saying both countries would soon finalize and sign a comprehensive economic package under the supervision of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Shehbaz Sharif reiterated his invitation to the Saudi Crown Prince to visit Pakistan and conveyed his best wishes to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz.
The two leaders agreed to maintain close coordination and cooperation in the coming days.
