MUZAFFARABAD (Dunya News) – Police in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) on Sunday sealed the head office of banned Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC), Dunya News reported.
Police have also recovered a submachine gun, a 12-bore rifle, and a pistol during the search of the premises. The district administration and police sealed the JAAC's central office due to anti-state activities.
The AJK government is taking vigorous action against the group trying to create chaos in the state under the guise of an action committee for so-called public rights.
According to the report, the recovery of weapons during the raid is evidence that the group was allegedly seeking to spread unrest under the guise of advocating for public rights.
