LAHORE (Dunya News) – Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Ahmed Khan on Tuesday said that historic and resounding success in Marka-e-Haq has elevated Pakistan’s stature at the global level.
Addressing a press conference at the Punjab Assembly, Malik Ahmad Khan, said that after victory in the Marka-e-Haq [battle of truth], the world has come to recognize Pakistan’s capabilities.
He termed the Pakistan’s success in Operation “Bunyan-un-Marsoos” a historic milestone. He said the operation not only crushed the adversary’s arrogance but also demonstrated unprecedented national unity and cohesion.
The speaker announced that a special session of the Punjab Assembly would be convened to pay tribute to this achievement, during which a unanimous resolution would also be adopted.
He said that India, using the Pahalgam incident as a pretext, leveled allegations against Pakistan without presenting any credible evidence and attempted to escalate tension in the region. However, Pakistan, through a measured and responsible approach, effectively projected its position on the diplomatic front and presented the truth before the international community. He emphasized that Pakistan consistently offered transparent investigations and impartial mediation, reflecting its commitment as a responsible and peace-loving state.
Malik Ahmad Khan also highlighted that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif was actively pursuing a comprehensive agenda of social and developmental reforms across the province. Initiatives such as “Suthra Punjab Program,” improved waste management systems, mass transit projects, and various public welfare schemes are clear indicators of positive transformation. He described the Chief Minister as a “social reformer,” acknowledging her efforts in addressing public issues and ensuring the delivery of basic services.
The speaker said that the legislative process in the Punjab Assembly was progressing effectively, aimed at promoting social reforms and addressing public concerns. He emphasized that through transparent governance, strong institutions, and dedicated public service, the province would continue on its path toward progress and prosperity.
