MUZAFFARABAD (Dunya News) - Azad Jammu and Kashmir Election Commission has taken notice of transfers and announcements of new development projects ahead of elections in Azad Kashmir.

The notice has been taken on the request of opposition leader Shah Ghulam Qadir. The AJK Election Commission has sought a response from the government within three days.

Shah Ghulam Qadir argued that transfers and announcements of new development projects before the election schedule are equivalent to pre-poll rigging.

The Election Commission has directed the Chief Secretary and the Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister to submit a report in this regard. The Election Commission stated that action will be taken against those who violated the code of conduct.
