RIYADH (Dunya News) - Pakistan has strongly condemned the ongoing situation in Gaza, stating that genocide and violations of the ceasefire cannot be tolerated.
Representing Pakistan at the meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Riyadh, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar expressed deep concern over continued ceasefire violations in Gaza.
He said that Arab and Islamic countries have voiced serious concern over breaches of the truce and emphasized that Pakistan unequivocally condemns the violations. He described the situation in Gaza as “unbearable” and said that Israel’s actions and expansionist policies cannot be accepted.
Dar stressed that the role of the OIC remains vital for peace, development, and cooperation among Muslim countries. He added that Israeli aggression and illegal settlements in Palestinian territories are a matter of grave concern for the Muslim Ummah.
The deputy prime minister further called for immediate steps to ensure the cessation of hostilities and emphasized the urgent need for Gaza’s reconstruction. He stated that Pakistan is in contact with brotherly countries to support efforts for a sustainable ceasefire.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s longstanding position, Dar reiterated support for the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state and said the prime minister has consistently upheld this principled stance at international forums
