CHAMAN (Dunya News) – At least eight persons, including women and chidren, were killed and 25 other were wounded in a cylinder explosion in Chaman, a city in Balochistan province, on Thursday.
According to Chaman police, a 20-kilogram gas cylinder suddenly exploded in a house located in Torpul area of Chaman, causing several rooms of the house to collapse. The blast also also damaged nearby houses and spread panic throughout the area.
Police stated that the bodies of five children have been recovered from the rubble, while the other deceased include women. The injured were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, where some are reported to be in critical condition, raising fears that the death toll may rise.
