LAHORE (Dunya News) - Senior Punjab Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb conducted a surprise visit to the Ramadan Festival at Jailani Park, closely reviewing the prices, quality, and availability of food and daily essentials.
During her inspection, she issued strict instructions to on-site officials to ensure proper management and public benefit.
Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb highlighted that the festival was organized under the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to provide special Ramadan relief for low-income families.
Participating brands are offering discounts exceeding 20% on essential items.
The festival operates entirely on a public-private partnership model with voluntary discounts, requiring no expenditure from the government treasury. Over 165 stalls offer high-quality food and daily-use products.

Across Punjab, 74 Ramadan Festivals are providing relief to the public, including special gifts and family-friendly activities for children and children with special needs.
Comprehensive arrangements for public convenience and safety have been made, including the presence of Rescue 1122, waste management, mobile clinics, and security teams, ensuring a clean, safe, and organized environment for visitors.
Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb praised Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for her commitment to transparency and public service and thanked industry stakeholders and brand partners for their full support in making the festival a success.
